The Mediterranean Exhibition Center (M.E.C.) opened its doors to the public functioning as

an Exhibition Center in 1989, with an exhibition potential of 12.000 square metres and became

host to 7 exhibitions in that very first year. Since 1989 to this day about 300 exhibitions, mainly of Commercial character have meticulously been organized and successfully taken place, attracting visitors from all over Greece as well as Europe. The commercial visitors who attended these exhibitions are about 660.000 and it is worth mentioning that almost 100.000 of them are visitors from abroad, the number of whom has substantially been rising

in the last 5 years.



The exhibition area counts with 2 independent halls that are able to connect with each other, covering 16.700 square meters while the potential extension of the exhibition space up to 22.000 square meters.





The building is equipped with cool-heat air conditioning units, fire safety equipment throughout, electricity provision substations which serve exhibitions with great consumption demands

as well as electricity generators for sufficient safety lighting. There are also numerous

loudspeakers, individual stand water supply and technical support during the conduct of each

exhibition.





It has fully equipped visitor reception halls and

secretarial support equipment, canteens and a Greek-cousine restaurant, a fully equipped medical room and ambulance during the exhibitions, an event room and electronic - advertisement stands in its premises.
