Espai Innovació
The Innovamar Foundation was again contributing with the management of the 1,000-m2 “Espai de la Innovació”, which provided the industry and its exhibitors with a setting for holding technological events, closing joint venture agreements and obtaining information about R&D&I.
The finalist projects of the 2nd SNB-MDY Awards for Technological Innovation and Yacht Design will be announced are exhibited. Projects developed in 2006 are also showcased.
Finalists in the commercial category: Difer 54 (Spain), Fox Project (Canada) and Class A Catamaran (Spain).
Finalists in the conceptual: 60’ Sloop CC (Spain), Design 13 (Australia) and VK1 (Spain).
Projects were presented by: Cátedra Madrid Diseño de Yates, Cognit Design, 2007 Spanish Challenge, Hispania Foundation, INASMET, Instituto Canario de Ciencias Marítimas, Proyecto Aclamar, Qualita Remos and Real Federación Española de Vela.
Young boat designers, schools, boat design centres and innovative industrial companies showcase their projects and research in the Young Designers Island, which was split up into three theme areas:
· Conferences. Companies and schools exhibited their innovation projects.
· Workshop. Schools interacted with attendees.
· Chill Out. Peaceful music and cosy atmosphere for relaxing and resting.
The Espai Innovació also featured activities such as design workshops, conferences and presentations.
