The Asian Fashion Product Exhibition, PLURAL FASHION, organised by IFEMA, is already preparing for its second edition, which will take place between 25th and 27th October at Feria de Madrid. This fair will once again present a grand showcase for fashion items and accessories made in Asia.

Thus, during the course of its next edition, PLURAL FASHION will present its fashion ideas for Spring-Summer 2008 under the headings of clothing, knitwear, accessories and fashion jewellery. In this respect, the fair will once again become an ideal meeting-point for traders and wholesalers from the industry.

The first edition of PLURAL FASHION, which took place last May, was very well received. A total of 72 companies took part in the event, travelling to the fair from Bangladesh, China, the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Taiwan, Thailand and France. Furthermore, the fair was visited by more than 3,000 professionals, including buyers from Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia, Catalonia, Castile-León, Castile-La Mancha, the Canary Islands and Aragón, not to mention a large group of professionals from abroad, who attended the fair from 26 different countries. With regard to next October's edition, for which IFEMA has already opened the application period for exhibition space rental, the organisers expect to attract some 150 exhibitors, based on a net exhibition area measuring 2,500 square metres. In this respect, with still three months to go before the fair itself, the organisers have already confirmed the attendance of 70 exhibitors. They expect to welcome around 4,000 visitors.

The important role played by PLURAL FASHION as a trade and business forum will be complemented by a range of diverse activities that are due to be staged to coincide with the trade fair itself, events that will undoubtedly help to boost its value and appeal. In this sense, at the last edition, professionals were able to attend conferences, exhibitions, gastronomic sampling events, etc., activities and events that enabled them to gain a more in-depth insight into different aspects of the Asian markets, as well as familiarising them with the cultural characteristics of the participating countries.

The Asian Fashion Product Exhibition is backed by Asian business associations established in Spain and by the Trade Offices from the various countries of this geographical region.
