Career Point - starting point for newcomers to the industry
Help for career newcomers at InnoTrans 2006 in Berlin
For anyone considering a career in the rail industry, facilities have been created at the world’s largest trade fair for this sector to provide information and serve as a starting point for their enquiries.
The Career Point is a new feature at InnoTrans, which takes place from 19 to 22 September, aimed at students, trainees and schoolchildren with a technical interest in the rail sector and public transport.
Well-informed advisors from the personnel departments of companies in this field such as ALSTOM Transport, AWV Aus- und Weiterbildungszentrum Verkehrsgewerbe Leipzig GmbH, Balfour Beatty Rail GmbH, Bombardier Transportation, Goldschmidt Thermit GmbH, Knorr-Bremse AG, Siemens AG Transportation Systems and Voith AG will be available at the Career Point in Hall 4.1 with information about training, careers, career advancement and future prospects in the industry.
The exhibitors at the Career Point will be organising conducted tours of their extensive stands each day.
For groups of seven persons or more Messe Berlin is offering a preferential rate of 8 euros per person (normally 32 euros). With the admission ticket participants will also be able to make use of public transport in the greater Berlin region during the day of their visit (forms available at www.innotrans.de)
A great many school pupils, students and young people just starting out in professional life from all over Germany have already applied to visit the Career Point.

From 19 to 22 September over 1,500 exhibitors from 40 countries will be presenting their latest products and services at InnoTrans 2006. This major event for the international rail industry is expected to attract 50,000 trade visitors from all over the world. This event is organised by Messe GmbH, Berlin.
