Automechanika 2006: international trade fair with over 4,500 exhibitors

Overview of the spectrum of products and services to be seen at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre More than 4,500 exhibitors will be making presentations on some 300,000 square metres of exhibition space (gross) at Automechanika 2006. Thus, the leading international trade fair for the automobile sector will occupy almost the whole of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre, i.e., a total of 20 floors in all nine halls and the Forum. Also booked: the uncovered area on the Agora and outdoor areas F10, F11 and F12 in the western section of the Exhibition Centre.

An efficient visit to the fair is best planned well in advance and, using the following brief orientation aid, visitors can put together an individual tour of the fair that best suits their requirements. The spectrum of products and services at the Automechanika is split for optimum clarity into four main sections: Parts & Systems, Repair & Maintenance, Accessories & Tuning and Service Station & Car Wash.
More than half of all Automechanika exhibitors are parts manufacturers and dealers. This year, Messe Frankfurt expects to welcome around 2,500 exhibitors in this section. Visitors will find the 'Parts & Systems' product group in Halls 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6, as well as in the Forum and on the Agora uncovered area. The 'Repair & Maintenance' product group, which covers equipment for vehicle servicing and repairs, bodywork repairs, painting, dealership construction and management, is located in Halls 8 and 9, and on outdoor area F10. Over 1,000 exhibitors will be showing their latest innovations there. Almost 750 exhibitors have booked space in the 'Accessories & Tuning' segment and will present a comprehensive range of vehicle accessories, special equipment, tuning parts, performance systems and customising services in Halls 4.0 and 4.1. For the first time, filling-station equipment, vehicle care and washing have been brought together in a separate product group called 'Service Station & Car Wash'. Visitors will find the 350-plus exhibitors of this segment in Hall 10.0 and on outdoor areas F11 and F12. Also new is the inclusion of service providers in the individual Automechanika product groups.
