In 1994, the company Supra Industria Textil was created for the manufacturing of rigid inflatable boats (RIB’s), these boats being commercialised under the Valiant brand name, trademark of the company. The factory was implanted in Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal), 30 minutes from the city of Vigo, Spain.

Covering 20,000 m_ of land with 8,000 m_ of covered space for manufacturing, administrative and service purposes the factory also has a test pool of 200 m_ for stability tests, drop tests, quality control and other uses.

During the period 1995 to 1999 Valiant rapidly introduced itself to the major markets in Europe and it is one of the reasons why in August 1999, the Brunswick Corporation, world leader in the manufacturing of boats and engines for the leisure market with a turnover in excess of 4 billion US dollars, decided to become a strategic partner in the company with a share in the capital.

Today Valiant is considered to be one the major manufacturers of Rigid Inflatable Boats for leisure and commercial use in the world, producing around 4,000 units per year, a workforce of 100 people, and with a distribution and service network in Europe as well as the introduction of the product in the US market.

Valiant craft are manufactured with a highly industrialised process, guaranteeing greater reliability with a constant and uniform quality. Through design, planning and development with the most advanced
techniques of CAD/CAM, production of the craft is automated and robotized in the main production stages, having advanced environmental controls for the manufacturing of GRP, where applied high technology eliminates vapours and by-products.
