Isabel de Pedro a Bread and Butter Barcelona - BBB 2008 January
Isabel de Pedro presents in Bread and Butter Barcelona, January 2008 its new collection Fall/Winter 2008. The new collection is called “Vinum” the Basque designer, who lives in Barcelona and has more than 30 years in the sector, presents a monographic characteristic that reinforces the feminine ways to maximum, under a different and personal style.
In this occasion, wine has been the inspiration, “Vinum” is humour and pleasure. Isabel de Pedro captures grapes and vines on its knitted and shirts garments. After going deep into La Rioja Alavesa, the Borgonya, the Penedés and the Priorat, she recreated wine luxury and wealth in the design of each one of her clothes. It is worth to mention baroque velvets, lace edgings and embroideries that get in an abstract way the wine subjects. Shirts and dresses are set in the world of wine and natural elements, such as roses or vineyards, are the stars of this season. The spots are the most emphasized elements for this season. Company History Isabel de Pedro started its professional career in 1970. Its first time in the fashion world was with the company Mr. CAT, founded by Rafael Tous Giner some years before. Nowadays, Isabel de Pedro is co-owner of the company with her name. From 1994 the firm started to export to different European countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland y Great Britain), United Stated and Japan, with an 80% of the foreign business of the company.
