Couromoda: the best of the Brazilian shoes and leathergoods industry 1,100 exhibitors show their new collections to Brazilian retailers and to importers from more than 60 countries.
The 35th edition of COUROMODA - International Shoes, Sportsgoods and Leathergoods Fair will be held from January 14th to 17th, 2008, at the Anhembi Exhibition Center, in the city of São Paulo/Brazil, bringing together 1,100 manufacturers of all kinds of footwear, sneakers, bags, travel goods, garments and fashion accessories.
Couromoda is the leading trade fair in its sector in Latin America and the fourth largest in the world; it attracts the attention of retailers and distributors from all over Brazil, as well as of importers flying in from over 60 countries.
The fair is the largest showcase of the footwear industry in Latin America and in this edition it features 75,000 m² (860,000 ft2) of exhibition area. Its exhibitors represent 90% of the Brazilian production, totalizing 700 million pairs/year.
It is at Couromoda that Brazilian and international buyers will find from leading brands in the market up to small manufacturers that show up with ideas and suggestions of very distinct styles. It represents a special opportunity to buy shoes and accessories for all seasons, in a wide range of styles, quality and prices.

International promotion to attract buyers from all over the world
Couromoda has been investing more and more in promoting the event worldwide. At this WSA, Couromoda will follow up its international promotion program aiming at bringing to the fair, in January 2008, buyers from all over the word.
To make the fair even more feasible for international buyers, the Couromoda team will attend five important fairs abroad, during the second semester: The WSA (August/Las Vegas), Midec (September/Paris), Micam (September/Milan) and Modacalzado (September/Madrid).
Special emphasis has also been given to the Latin America market, with the support of Brazilian embassies in all the capitals and with personal visits of the Couromoda team to importers, distributors and retailers in the most important markets.

Couromoda 2008 will introduce the new collections of the Brazilian industry in all types of footwear (from winter boots to tropical sandals), leathergoods, sportswear, garments, components and technology for the footwear industry.
