Bergader Privatkäserei GmbH, based in Waging am See/Upper Bavaria, was founded by Basil Weixler in 1902 and has since been family-owned.

The company produces and markets cheese specialties in the top-price segment.

With premium brands such as Bavaria blu, Bonifaz, Bergader Edelpilz and Bianco, the company is the leading supplier for the deli counter in Germany.

In July 2004, the company obtained the QMS ISO 9001:2000 quality certifications. Bergader was the first cheese dairy in Germany to meet the strict requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001 standard.

The company´s cheese specialties are appreciated by fans of all Bavarian things in over 45 countries worldwide.

Excellent taste, innovation and hand-made production are the hallmark of the family owned business, which has been cultivating the art of cheese making for more than 100 years.

Two new varieties in Bergader’s Edelpilz range will be offered under the name Bergader Blu: a light cheese with reduced fat content and a distinctive, slightly sweet variety. Visit Bergader Privatkäserei at the Anuga 2007 trade show.
