More than 60 years of design and functional nature
Established in 1944 in Martorell (Barcelona), where it remains today absolutely consolidated, Amat is leader in furniture design and the contract market. Its palette of chairs and tables as well as benches, desks and barstools for indoor or outdoor use, are well known and appreciated. Due to their quality and personality, the products of Amat are sold to over 50 countries and they are part of permanent exhibitions in many museums all over the world. A lot of independent and prestigious designers collaborate with Amat to create the best furniture, by always combining design and functionality: Jorge Pensi, André Ricard, Pepe Cortés, Eduard Samsó, Ricardo Bofill, Marta de Vilallonga, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Josep Lluscà, Òscar Tusquets, Mariscal, Genesis Design, De’ Silva&Bufill, Fernando Salas, Ron Arad… All along its trajectory, Amat has been price awarded by national and international institutions as recognition of its intense work of innovation: ICFF Editor Awards – Multiple Production 2006, Selección Premio EDMA 2001, Premio Príncipe Felipe 1999, Premio Nacional de Diseño 1998, Selección European Design Prize 1997 and Laus 1995.
